The California Mid-State Fair is inviting the community to get creative and get a head start on the 2027 Fair with its Monthly Crafting Class series.
The upcoming Adult Crafting Class will take place Wednesday, August 19, from 5:30–6:30 p.m. at the Paso Robles Event Center’s Frontier Pavilion. Participants will learn how to make garden markers, with finished projects ready to be entered for judging and display at the 2027 California Mid-State Fair. A $10 donation is suggested to participate.
The deadline to join the August class is Friday, August 14, 2026. Participants can sign up here.
The Monthly Crafting Class series is designed to make entering the Fair’s competitions fun and approachable, while giving community members an opportunity to learn new skills, create something of their own and experience the pride of seeing their work entered at the Fair.
Additional monthly classes for adults and youth are planned through May 2027. Classes are held from 5:30–6:30 p.m. at the Paso Robles Event Center. Adult classes are $10 and youth classes are $5.

The California Mid-State Fair’s Exhibits Program gives community members of all ages the opportunity to showcase their creativity, skills and talents at the Fair. Participants can enter their work in a variety of competitions, with entries judged and displayed during the annual Fair. From crafts and gardening to food, art and more, the program offers a fun and accessible way for anyone to become part of the California Mid-State Fair.
