The California Mid-State Fair is celebrating 80 years of community, creativity, and champions — and in 2026, SLO County locals are being encouraged to be part of it, especially first-timers.
This year’s Community Exhibits Competitions are an open invitation to create, compete, and connect. Whether you crochet, bake, paint, grow, build, photograph, or craft, there is a place for you in the Fair.
Don’t just go to the Fair, BE the Fair.
For generations, Community Exhibits have showcased the incredible talent of our region. Entering is simple, affordable, and open to all ages and skill levels. You don’t have to be a professional — you just have to start.
