The 2025 Miss California Mid-State Fair Scholarship Pageant crowned Skye Davis of Paso Robles as Queen during an unforgettable night filled with talent, leadership, and heartfelt transitions. Davis, along with her fellow winners, will represent the Fair throughout its 12-day celebration this July.
Joining Davis on the Queen's Court are:
First Runner-Up: Amelia Olivo of Atascadero
Second Runner-Up: Morgan Ruiz of Paso Robles
Each young woman impressed the judges with outstanding presentations and original Fair Proposals:
Skye Davis proposed a “Fair Spirit Week” to build community excitement in the days leading up to Opening Day.
Amelia Olivo introduced the idea of “Agri-Science Discovery Stations” to provide hands-on learning throughout the Fairgrounds.
Morgan Ruiz envisioned a “Golden Hour Showcase” to feature local performers before each night’s concert in the Chumash Grandstand Arena.
In a surprise announcement during the event, longtime Pageant Director Patti Lucas officially retired after 29 years of service to the pageant, including 24 years as Director. In an emotional moment, Patti passed the symbolic crown and scepter to her daughter, Courtney Lucas, who has worked alongside her mother since she was just 9 years old. Though stepping down from her leadership role, Patti will remain part of the pageant family, now focusing her efforts on coordinating and growing the pageant’s sponsorship program.
The newly crowned Queen and her Court will be volunteering throughout the Fair, assisting with activities including:
Awarding prizes during the Pedal Tractor Races
Announcing nightly concerts in the Michelob Ultra Concert Series at the Chumash Grandstand Arena
Participating in community outreach, media interviews, and other ambassadorial duties across the Fairgrounds
