The Family Stone Booked!

The California Mid-State Fair is pleased to announce that The Family Stone has been booked to perform on the Frontier Stage Friday, July 23rd at 6:30p & 8:30p. The Family Stone’s performances will be free with your paid admission to the Fair.

The Family Stone original Founding members Jerry Martini and Cynthia Robinson are Rock & Roll Hall of fame inductees, and R&B Pioneer Award Winners.

Jerry Martini is the original founder of Sly & The Family Stone; calling upon Sly Stone to become the leader of the first inter-racial, multi-gender major American Band. He has performed with countless luminaries including Carlos Santana, Bill Wymann, Robert Cray, Willie Lomax, Prince and Van Morrison. Recently he has been seen on the 2006 Grammy Awards with a cast of all stars in their tribute to Sly & The Family Stone.

The Family Stone will present a set of their classic hits like "I Want to Take You Higher", Everyday People", "Dance To The Music", "Hot Fun In The Summertime", "Family Affair", "Sing a Simple Song" and many more.

The 2010 California Mid-State Fair runs July 21, 2010, through August 1, 2010. This year’s theme is “Endless Summer Fun.”
